Random Thoughts, June 12th


1. Wisteria is the most beautiful name for a plant. Hands down 
2. I don't care how much you want Trump gone; there is no way that James Comey deserves to be played by Jimmy Stewart. [a tweet I saw]
3. You can almost always spot the murderer in American crime shows simply by virtue of the fact that they are the best actor. 
4. 7 weeks and still no cat has mysteriously arrived at my door. I have kept one can of tunafish on hand just in case.

Sometimes it is quite astonishing how happy a red coffee cup you bought six months ago (as a sign of new possibility) or a blue coffee mug that you bought three years ago (on a trip with your Dad) can make you. So don't be too quick to disparage silly, little purchases. 2. Random Thoughts, July 15th

1. Now that I know how easy it is to make a cheese sauce becoming a vegan is going to be very hard. 2. I ain't never, ever, never "going home to Rome" --the way power operated to cover-up of the priest abuse scandal (see the Netflix series "The Keepers" for the most recent reflection on this) mitigates against any theological attraction of "universalism." 3. Whoa! The trailer for Wrinkle in Time! Looks awesome.
